Our Farm
Our traditionally run farm is located at 1160 meters above sea level, right in the sunny village center of Schalders, a small fraction of the municipality of Vahrn.
I, Evelyn, my husband Matthias, and our children Marilena and Aaron would like to welcome you to our farm. Also living here with us are my parents, Annemarie and Alfred, who mainly take care of the flowers and the vegetable garden.
The farm is a traditional South Tyrolean farmhouse, specializing in the breeding of young cattle.
The calves are taken to the alpine meadow in the summer and spend the rest of the year on our pasture or in the barn.
Among the beloved animals on our farm are calves, donkeys, chickens, ducks, Quessant sheep, miniature goats, a cat, and, of course, our farm dog "Asta," who has everything under control and is always ready for cuddles. In addition, we also have rabbits and some quails.
A highlight of our farm is the wood-fired oven with an attached barbecue, which you may use at any time upon request.
With "Schwaiger Wiese," our private alpine meadow, we own a small paradise at about 1400 meters above sea level, which we are happy to share with you for a relaxing alpine day with a hearty South Tyrolean snack as a packed lunch, upon prior request and availability.
There, you’ll be seduced to dream, unwind, and relax by the sound of the nearby natural stream, the Schalderer Bach, and the vast meadows that invite you to sunbathe. A barbecue area for grill enthusiasts is also available.
Furthermore, the alpine meadow is a great starting point for a hike to the famous and beautiful Schrütten lakes or to our house mountain, the Schrotthorn, from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the entire Schalders Valley.
